We pick your child up from school, give them dedicated homework time with staff supervision, run them through a martial arts training session, and keep them active with structured games and activities until you pick them up at 6 PM. They come home tired in the best way — homework done, energy spent, skills built.
We serve elementary schools in the areas surrounding our locations across Northern Virginia — Falls Church, Fairfax, Vienna, Ashburn, and Purcellville. Contact your nearest location to confirm your child's school is on our pickup route.
One thing we're proud of: we use real school buses with CDL-licensed drivers — never passenger vans. Most after-school services rely on vans because it's cheaper. We don't. CDL drivers are professionally trained for transporting kids, and school buses are built for safety. It's a higher standard, and it's the only standard we operate by.

Our staff supervises to make sure they're actually working, not just staring at a page. We help with questions, keep them focused, and make sure assignments are completed before training starts.

Daily Martial Arts Training

Every day includes a structured martial arts class led by our kids coaching team. Classes are age-appropriate and cover fundamentals across Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and general self-defense. Kids learn proper technique, practice drills with partners, and build skills progressively over time.
The training isn't just about martial arts moves — it builds discipline, focus, coordination, and confidence. Kids learn to listen to instruction, follow through on tasks, and push themselves past what they thought they could do. These habits transfer directly into their school performance and behavior at home.

We pick up from elementary schools within the area surrounding each of our locations. The specific schools vary by location — contact your nearest Kaizen MMA gym to confirm whether your child's school is on the pickup route. We're always working to add new schools based on demand.
Real school buses with CDL-licensed drivers — never passenger vans. This is a deliberate safety choice. CDL drivers are professionally trained and held to a much higher standard, and school buses are built for transporting children safely.
The After School Program is designed for elementary school students, kindergarten through 5th grade. The martial arts instruction and activities are adapted by age group so younger and older elementary kids both get an appropriate experience.
Their school backpack with homework, a water bottle, and a change of clothes for training (athletic shorts and a t-shirt). We provide all martial arts equipment. A healthy snack is included, but you're welcome to pack extra if your child has dietary restrictions or a big appetite.
We accommodate scheduled early dismissals — just let us know in advance. For unexpected closures (weather, emergencies), we'll communicate pickup logistics via our parent communication channel. If school is fully closed for the day, the after-school program does not run that day.
Absolutely. While the program runs until 6:00 PM, you're welcome to pick up your child anytime after 3:30 PM. Just come to the front desk and we'll get them ready. We ask that all children are picked up by 6:00 PM.
