ABOUT THE PROGRAM
What this actually is.
Wrestling is the oldest and most fundamental combat discipline. It teaches you to take someone down, maintain control, and establish dominant positions — skills that translate directly to self-defense and serve as the backbone of any well-rounded martial arts practice.
You don't need a background in high school or college wrestling to start. Our adult wrestling program is built for people picking it up for the first time. We focus on the takedowns, pressure, and scrambles that work in real situations, taught at a pace that lets you absorb and apply what you learn.
The conditioning you build through wrestling is unlike anything else. The constant movement, grip work, and body control develop a functional strength and toughness that gym workouts alone can't replicate. It's demanding — but in the best way.
A CLASS · STEP BY STEP
What to expect.
Dynamic warm-up with wrestling-specific movement drills
Takedown technique instruction — single legs, double legs, body locks
Partner drilling with progressive resistance
Positional live rounds focused on specific skills
Conditioning work integrated into training naturally
THE ARC · YOUR FIRST QUARTER
How the progression goes.
- WK. 01–04
Falls, frames & fundamentals
Breakfalls, hip movement, basic posture and grips. You learn how to be safe on the mat before anything else — how to fall, how to stand back up, how to control your own weight. Drilling only. No live rolls yet.
- WK. 05–12
Positions & technique chains
Top and bottom positions — guard, mount, side control — and how to move between them. Wrestling shots start clicking. Drilling becomes more responsive as you read your partner's reactions in real time.
- WK. 13+
Live rolling & sparring
Live rolling and takedown sparring become available — always optional, never rushed. You'll spend many rounds getting tapped before tapping anyone, and that's the point. The puzzle is the practice.

QUESTIONS
Wrestling FAQ.
Absolutely. Our adult wrestling classes are designed for beginners. We have members who started in their 30s, 40s, and beyond with zero wrestling background.
Wrestling is physically demanding, but our coaches teach you how to train smart. We emphasize technique over power, and you control how hard you go in live rounds.
Hugely. Wrestling is the common thread that connects striking and ground work. Better takedowns and top control will improve every other aspect of your martial arts training.
